A study recently published in the British Medical Journal evaluated the link between seafood intake and longer gestation periods.
As we all know, premature births (births before 37 weeks of pregnancy) can lead to health complications. Some dangers include underdeveloped lungs, bleeding in the brain, kidney problems, and vision/hearing impairment. However, the consumption of fish and shellfish may decrease the chances of a preterm birth and the complications that come with it.
